Installation (Berlin Next!)

Evol

Tuesday 29 March 2011 - Sunday 3 April 2011 / Espace d'exposition

Price: 3€ / free for adhérents

Winner of the Arte/Slick prize in 2010, the young artist from Berlin casts a block of buildings, very much alive with its day-to-day stories which intermingle.

EVOL is an artist from Berlin who uses paint and cardboard as his material. He creates architectural "sculptures" inspired by Soviet art and recreates in miniature abandoned urban spaces. He has exhibited in the German pavilion at the Shanghai World Fair 2010.

For la Gaîté lyrique and on the occasion of Berlin Next! , the artist who received the Arte/Slick 2010 prize (Paris's Discoveries in Contemporary Art Fair) creates projections on a form placed inside the exhibition gallery, from which appear an entire Berlin quarter, living, evolving and where all the stories intermingle.
