Mike King's agenda
From 23/04 to 29/04

Monday 23rd April • Gigantic Gallery
Silver Age, comics inspired art by Ian Seniff at Gigantic Gallery. A fleshier approach to Silver Age comic book heros presented as a series of paintings, in what is probably Portland's smallest gallery.
Tuesday 24th April • World Famous Kenton club
I guess Seattle's Ubik might be a metal band, but probably not. They seem to specialize in heavy stuttering complicated music without guitars
with Lickety from Portland who play quirky electronic sludge at the World Famous Kenton Club.
Wednesday 25th April • Ella Street Social Club
The endearing folk/electronic sounds of Portland's Grey Anne in a club that used to be a mortuary, should be fun with some other bands. Also M83 at Roseland Theater.
Thursday 26th April • Mississippi Pizza + Wonder Ballroom
The Yiddish Republik Orchestra play klezmer and eastern european folk music at a pizza parlor, Mississippi Pizza. Later, DJ Shadow, a national treasure, is part of the Soul'd Out Music Festival, Wonder Ballroom.
Friday 27th April • Slabtown
Black Pussy (Is Go) bring their shambling dirty classic style rock to the classic dirty shambles that is Slabtown with Pinkzilla and Lamprey.
Saturday 28th April • Disjecta + Ground Kontrol
The last day of Disjecta's Portland 2012: A biennial of contemporary art, a chance to see what Disjecta thinks is happening in Portland's art scene. Later, New Wave Disco at a video arcade with beer, featuring DJ Roxy Epoxy formerly of the much loved Portland band The Epoxies at Ground Kontrol.
Sunday 29th April • Oregon Convention Center
The Stumptown Comics Fest, perhaps the largest artist focused comic book event in the country featuring artists from Portland and all over.
